BSc (Hons) Computing

The BSc (Hons) Computing at GST develops the in-demand skills sought after across today’s technology industry. The programme covers a broad range of computing disciplines, including programming languages such as Java, Python, and PHP, web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, database management with MySQL, cloud computing, cyber security, data analysis, human-computer interaction, and computing ethics.

Students can tailor their learning journey by choosing between two curated pathways a technical pathway or an information systems pathway depending on their individual aspirations and career goals. Many modules are hands-on by design, equipping students with the practical, job-ready skills that today’s employers demand. Rather than relying solely on traditional assessments, the programme emphasises real-world application with students engaging in coding, database creation, web development, data analysis, and cloud services work, before demonstrating these skills through authentic, practice-based assessments.
